Warm, spiced, and silky smooth—this grain- free porridge is a comforting, nourishing start to the day. The cassava flour thickens up beautifully with almond milk, and sautéed apples bring sweetness and texture.
INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp Thrive fields cassava flour
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 small apple, diced
1 tsp coconut oil
1–2 tsp maple syrup or honey (optional)
Pinch of salt
Optional toppings: nuts, raisins, more cinnamon
DIRECTION
In a small saucepan, melt coconut oil. Add
diced apples and sauté for 3–4 minutes until slightly softened.
Pour in almond milk. Stir in cassava flour,
cinnamon, salt, and maple syrup. Whisk well to prevent clumping.
Bring mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring
constantly. It will thicken in 2–3 minutes into a smooth porridge.
Add a splash of milk if needed for a thinner consistency.
Pour into a bowl and top with extra apples, nuts, or raisins.
